Allegorical bookplate of Acton Phillips (prob. proprietor of Lyric Theatre Hammersmith) on pastedown, contemporary ownership inscriptions "Mary Carter" at head of title and most monthly issues, one page corner torn off without loss of text, plates & text otherwise complete, clean and crisp. *Includes detailed news of second year of 1745 Jacobite rebellion and reprisals, foreign news, ships lost & won in battles with the French, articles by J.
