Hand colored lithographs of French costume plates (24 on a continuous strip)
Description
155x177mm green blindstamped pebbled cloth folder with gilt title decoration (tips rubbed) first illustration that is attached to the folder has a tear affecting the gound beside the figure (no loss) and a few folds repaired on the blank inside. Captions of the areas where these costumes are worn under each illustration and some figures are shown in their employment, ie spinning, carrying fish, with produce, in a background etc. A few signs of use but nicely colored and heightened with gum.
