Description Octavo gilt green black-bordered cover and spine cloth on bevelled boards, lower board blind-stamped (tips worn spine bit rubbed but pictorial gilt lamp & book on spine still nice) 191pp (includes half title + both chromos +printed title + contents). Endpapers a bit foxed, front FEP with neat inscription Charlie Randall June 9th 1875. Text pages with a few signs of use but a neat tight copy. *Set in America it chronicles one boy's experiences in making his way in the world. The fist Nelson edition (1860) had only "Boy's choice of a trade" title, with author given as A.L.O.E. [Charlotte M. Tucker 1821-1893].
