Illustrations Handcoloured plates (3) including the frontis + 2 further hand coloured plates heightened with gum and very bright.
Description Volume number 4 MINIATURE 80x50mm silvered and blue patterned paper with embossed onlay flowers (some tarnishing which darkens parts of the silver/tips sl. rubbed) 29pp. Neat inscription "Agnes Lawrence Christmas 1855" on front end paper. *The book contains The Island of Delight + The Cat and the Rabbits + The Meeting of the Animals to Choose a King. These are similar to fables and each story has a moral. Not in Bondy, nor in Osborne or Gumuchian. Slight pale foxing but a very crisp clean copy with neat original careful colouring as issued. There were 3 other volumes in the set.
