3 VOLUMES IN ONE 149x91mm blind-tooled leather on 4 raised bands (spine well repaired with newer green roan gilt title label) all edges rouged. Newer end papers. Lacks Titlepage of 1st part (Epistle to the Romans, facsimile tipped in) [16]pp preface +286pp +[2]pp blank leaf; Titlepage of 2nd part (Corinthians) +[8]pp preface +321pp +[1]p large printer's mark "Christoff Rab" (German for raven in Latin Corvinus); Titlepage of 3rd part (Galatians etc) +[8]pp preface +323pp +[1]p blank verso - lacks final blank leaf. Airedale College label to pastedown + "J. Mann's Augt.28 1812". First 2 leaves with neat edge & gutter repair, some marginal marks of former damp to 1st part but paper strong and supple throughout all 3 parts. Latin text with some Hebrew, some Greek, using various fonts, scripts and sizes. *A neat commentary on the Epistles of St Paul, collated complete except lacking 1st title leaf and last blank.
