Description Two Volumes Folio. Sprinkled calf on 6 raised bands, spine compartment gilt, red spine label to each volume (hinges split but held by cords damage to head & foot spine compartments edges worn). Titlepage in red & black [2]pp dedication to Archbishop of Canterbury +[4]pp Preface +[8]pp Contents etc. Half title to St. Barnabus +816pp; Titlepage to Vol.II in red & black [2]pp prelims +265pp +half title to CODEX CANONUM +448pp. Text in double columns throughout with printed footnotes at bottom of each page. Text in Latin with some Greek. Collated complete, no tears, inscriptions or worming, minimal signs of use, pages crisp. *These Church fathers were Christian writers of 1st & 2nd centuries AD who are believed to have known some of the 12 Apostles personally, so that their writings are genuine parts of Apostolic teaching.
