Half-title with 1823 watermark, slightly creased and torn without loss, some other edges dusty or rubbed for less than a centimeter. Plate mark size 215x140mm this includes the copperplate caption, engraver and publishing dates 1823-1824. Thus although the last two plates have faint damp marks these are well outside the image and only in the case of George IV encroach into the plate mark but do not touch image or lettering. Supposed to be of sovereigns this also includes Mary Queen of Scots and Cromwell. Fine young portrait of Elizabeth, grand Henry VIII etc. *Rare in the complete unbound never sewn uncut state.
