Titlepage soiled, stained at foot and repaired on back with paper tape, many pages with light brown water-stains, last few heavily stained, last (Errata) soiled & missing upper margin without loss of text. Some near-contemporary MS annotations. Lacks blank leaf before title but otherwise complete: [30 of 32], 357, [3] pp. (pp 181, 287 misnumbered). Dedication by S[usan] Du Verger To The Most Excellent Maiesty of Henrietta Maria, Queene of Great Britaine. Second titlepage to Moral Relations (also dated 1639) but through paginated. *Camus sought to counter frivolous romances with these moral but amusing accounts of various Events (eg. The Old Man passionate in Love, The Double Fratricide, etc) - the first part here translated into English by an early woman writer. Soiled but textually complete copy of an interesting 1639 English book in neat 18th century binding (STC 4549).
