140x95mm japonaise picture on grey cloth, on card covers (tips rubbed) 64pp Pictorial Wesleyan Methodist Juveile Home and Foreign Missionary Society. Presentation label to pastedown. One opening with stains and one page with remnants of coloring else minimal signs of use. Only Manchester Catalogue has this title listed and that seems to be without publishing details as cataloguer lists T.Woolmer ?? As publisher. In original? plain glassine wrap (with slight foxing and a few lacunae) on which an owner has written W.B. -the initals of the bookplate recipient. The author has written at least 5 other juvenile titles but this the only one in only one copy library. *A young girl refuses to give up when a dying man refuses to take comfort in religion and how she overcomes his refusal to hear her is told in this story and is partly in dialect (northern England? -kor=cannot).
