Description Duodecimo (126x69mm) half vellum with continental pastepaper sides faint ink title to spine (tips rubbed slight darkening of vellum/lacking some of the paper of upper cover) All edges Rouged [24]pp incl. engraved titlepage, dedication, preface & contents +498pp +[122]pp indices +[4]pp blanks. Name J.J.J. Dranitz on front fly leaf. A few decorative initials and overall a complete neat attractive tight copy, corresponding to the Elzevir edition of the same date. *Aulus Gellius, a 2nd century AD Latin writer, began this rambling collection of notes on many subjects in Attica (hence the title) and completed it in Rome.
