PART I [32]pp titlepage +dedication +books consulted & contents) +509pp +[75]pp Index; PART II [38]pp titlepage etc +plate +568pp +55pp Index); PART III [52]pp titlepage +full page illustration + 395pp +36pp Index + Colophon with printer's mark of Ganymede Riding an Eagle(?) and last publisher's details and date. Name erasure on 1st titlepage causing thinning of paper, verso of title small library stamp Halle University, some underlining (neat) mostly to first volume. One leaf in Part III extended to preserve marginalia. Some browning, mostly to last volume, and a few light marginal damp marks, else a neat tight copy and all three parts in First edition which is quite Rare. *A huge work abstracted from many scarce works into self-contained essays (marginal notes usually giving sources) discussing diverse topics: philosophy, elephants, werewolves, law & punishment, bearing arms, gipsies, Turkish persecutions, cross dressing, Cabala, medical and natural history (eg. leprosy, lions, bears, the devil including a Faust legend).
