Folio blindstamped pigskin over bevelled wooden boards on five raised bands (lacks clasps/darkened mainly to lower cover & spine/rubbed/spine splitting & lacking 1" of leather at headbut tight and sound) All edges green. Frontis + Titlepage printed in red and black +[14p=preface] + [8p=contents], +446pp, [76p=index], + half title +[8p=Preface & Argument] +216p +[48p=index] +errata leaf. Two ownership labels, a Jesuit Scriptorium & The Writer's Library, London. The top third of the first To Reader page has been cut out -text of first page starts just below this but verso is lacking top third of text. A few dusty fingerings to the first leaves and a leather label laid in has left some square browning marks to endpapers and frontis, else an exceptionally clean, wide margined handsomely bound copy COMPLETE in this volume.
