Description Small octavo near contemporary roan panel-ruled with newer red gilt longitudinal spine label (some splitting to hinges/tips worn but sound and handsome). (28pp including Imprimatur, Titlepage, Dedication to Queen Mary, Preface & errata) + 199pp. Newer Endpapers with neat 20th century signature and 19th century bookseller's miniature label. Three lower corners torn away affecting a few words, repaired and completed in manuscript. Last page torn but not affecting any part of the text, and long ago repaired, a few worm tracks not affecting text. *A neat book of panegyrics upon William the 3rd and dedicated to Queen Mary shortly before her death. The author who styles himself "Sometime the onely English Chaplain to the Army" is not found in the Dictionary of National Biography although credited with at least two further books on military matters (Wing 2040).
