Description
Small octavo (155x100mm) contemporary calf blind-ruled (tips quite worn/hinges cracked but holding firm/head & foot of spine repaired to strengthen) TP +(14pp) +377pp +(19p index) +(4pp blanks) [*8 +A-Bb8] Newer EPs possibly recased, TP with signature blacked out and sl.rough to edges with library stamp to Verso TP & dedication page + 2 shelf numbers. Minor toning to page edges but most unusual Text in Latin but shoulder notes in Greek throughout. This is obviously a text book and as such has some questions with answers and was written for Strassburg student use. Since the publisher died in 1597 this was printed not too long after his death as his heirs later reprinted this with Simon Grynäus's additions. The work was also printed in Frankfurt, Cambridge & London in the 17th century and was still in use in the 19th century.
