Large octavo PRIZE GILT fine binding of red calf with faux raised bands compartment gilt contrasting spine label, front board with gilt pictorial oval view and "Cum Humanis Divina fund: MDCCCXXX". Blind tooled rev. & dent (some marks/tips rubbed) Frontis + Extra engraved TP + Printed TP+xxiv+874pp Name erased (neatly) from FEP. Last contents & first preface leaf with marginal tear, repaired without loss but some browning. Some offsetting from plates to opposite page. A few pages marginally foxed but a very handsome neat copy with appendices of additional material gathered by Croker.
