Two parts in One volume, octavo half calf (covers detached/split mid-spine and most of spine leather lacking/paper of sides worn and covers bit deformed) ii+284pp+451pp+errata+(xvi of indexes). Two leaves detached, browned and slightly torn to margins without loss but one with 1" of tape to gutter.Lacks free EP but an uncut and partly unopened copy with minor edge dusting. *Much of the history deals with French revolution and the French Wars including an early use of a Balloon in this war. Invasion scares in England and Discontent in North America. Under new books there is a review of Erasmus Darwin's Zoonomia and a History of the Origin, Progress and Termination of the American War by Stedman who served under How, Clinton and Cornwallis. Edmund Burke wrote for and conceived this magazine.
