2 VOLUMES octavo half gilt calf with red & black labels on each spine (but spine leather missing large chunks altho' all 4 labels are intact/front covers only loosely held, back covers secure) vii+(4)+227pp +(10p index) (4)+301pp+(12p index) A very clean neat copy with no offsetting & no foxing of the plates but some offsetting of the text onto the blank backs of the plates. These journey to Normandy were made in 1815, 1818 and 1819 and Cotman accompanied Dawson Turner on these tours. The Turners were in fact John Sell Cotman's chief benefactors and patron.
