2 Parts in One volume, folio (in 4's) contemporary panelled calf with old reback on 6 raised bands (covers detached/tips worn/some scuffing) (XVI)+396pp +408pp+(16p index) paper fault p 7 affecting about 5 letters and one other marginal tear without loss. Text in parallel Greek & Latin, titlepage with emblematic printer's mark for the University. Crisp copy with the lovely Maps. Small corner of EP cut to remove signature, Coat of Arms Bookplate of Reginald Cholmondsley of Condover Hall & later bookplate of H.B. Swete of Cambridge University 1890. *This work is a continuation of Eusebius' Ecclesiastical History to AD 439. Although it is part of a set of two volumes this volume is complete in itself and was first published in France as a free standing work. Our titlepage makes no reference to the Eusebius History that made up volume one.
