Description Oblong quarto cloth spined pictorial boards (newer? rose cloth spine/tips & edges worn/some marks to covers) [26]pages. Lacks free endpapers and recased, a few gutters to text pages with old tape removal marks. One smaller figure renewed (this figure seems often to be missing as it has very slender legs) One old tape repair to frame of snow scene. Slight marks/fingerings to text-page margins, some behind the scenes spacers renewed. *A large book with pop-ups that are highly detailed and very pretty. Quayle considers this title to be one of Nister's finest pop-ups (MONTANARO 219).
