Description	4 VOLUMES IN ONE octavo in 4's old binding repaired (worn but sound) 105pp+index 139pp(incl.index from this volume on) 147pp 128pp LACKS R4 of vol.2 (a blank between last fable & Index) else includes all necessary half titles and titlepages. Some old dampstaining but entirely marginal and not touching text, nor does it affect the strength of the paper. According to Robertshaw a very rare Paris Edition of an English translation of La Fontaine's fables and appartently the first complete English translation. In the 18th c.only selections of these fables appeared in English.
