Illustrations: Folding and doublepage maps (4 of more) some with coat of arms surrounds.

Volume I only, octavo decoratively tooled and panelled calf on 5 raised bands (covers detached/tips worn/scuffed - needs binding). Folding frontis map + Titlepage +[8]pp dedication & preface +23pp of subscribers +[1]p blank +xvi +218pp + publisher's book list. Namestamp John D. Bareham on pastedown and ownership inscription on back of frontis. First 5 leaves have gutter repairs, book list tipped onto the last leaf but was previously taped to the now missing endpapers. The frontis is a general map of Flanders with a tip of England - other maps show the Battles of Hochstet (=Blenheim), Ramillies and a plan of Menin. All but the latter have a frame of coats of arms of the participants, the Menin plan having a city(?) coat of arms. *This volume takes the history of the war to 1707. One of the earliest published accounts of Marlborough's victorious campaigns.
