Duodecimo (142x85mm) marbled calf with both labels missing (worn spine & edges with leather darkened, hinges cracked but still holding/tips worn and 1.5cm damage to head & chpped to foot of spine) Titlepage +[4]pp +205pp Contents leaves bound in the wrong order but complete. Bookplate of Library of American board of commissioners for foreign Missions and bookplate of Jeremiah Evarts. Some foxing mainly to first pages but neat, tight & clean. Description of Guinea and its slavery, Moore's travels into interior of Africa and Mr Windus, a gentleman in Charles Stewart's embassy to Morocco describes the country and religion of the Mohametans. The last chapter is the opening part of Shaw's travels through Barbary. Part of a series of voyages and discovery volumes for children collected for the charming plates which are correct for this volume.
