Duodecimo (142x85mm) marbled calf (worn spine & edges with leather darkened, hinges cracked but still secure/tips worn and 1cm damage to head & sl.chipped to foot of spine/lacks spine labels) Titlepage +[6]pp +220pp. Bookplate of Library of American board of commissioners for foreign Missions and bookplate of Jeremiah Evarts. Some foxing mainly to first pages but neat, tight & clean. Vasco da Gama's voyage to India, Pedro Alvares de Cabral, Capt.Lancaster and Commodore Beaulieu's East Indies. This is an interesting volume on the East Indies in the series of 20 volumes on explorations for children having all the charming required plates.
