Bosanquet [his daughter] to each volume. Inner hinge of Vol I has paper splits but underlying mull not torn, pp120-125 with brown mark to lower margin touchingg a few words on 3 bottom lines which are still readable. Some other signs of use and pale foxing/tanning but a nice early set with paper supple and securely bound. *The 2 volumes include tales of the Crusades and Richard Coeur de Lion, story of Wueen Margaret, Alfred the Great and the Anglo saxons and Danes. A tale from the Old English Chronicles, one from Hungary about Bela the Blind, William Tell of Switzerland etc.
