Small octavo blindstamped ribbed tan cloth (tips worn/head of spine chipped/bit marked) xx +362pp including index. Minor foxing or signs of use and name stamp to margin of fly leaf else neat and tight copy. *During the tour of two boys with their father to South America he devises experiments for the further education of the two boys in physics and discusses natural history between their travels in the region. Much time is spent on experiments with air and they try to replicate the Magdeburg hemispheres, how the barometers work, steam engines, air guns and weather phemomena are used as teaching aides. A scarce readable physics book with many experiments illustrated.
