Small folio (186x266mm) blue gilt morocco (tips sl.worn, hinges tender) both covers gilt, all edges gilt; bound by Riviere. xvi;241pp marbled endpapers, first & last binder's leaves only foxed; text & illustrations very clean, crisp & tight. Text in ruled borders bearing maxims etc, with lovely circular engravings for which Cats was famous, re-engraved by John Leighton.
